She Defies Empires earrings represents sovereign power and unyielding defiance. Created as a part of the Vanguard Collection, the design reflects the commanding authority of Queen Zenobia of Palmyra, the warrior queen who dared to challenge Rome, built an empire on her own terms and refused to be forgotten. This earring carries that same conviction. Inspired by ancient Palmyra and brought to life through the hands of Nepali artisans, this piece brings two rich craft histories into one wearable statement.

DESIGN & MANUFACTURE

Rooted in ancient Palmyrene jewelry traditional and handcrafted in Nepal, this design bridges two rich craft histories. The deep red stone in the center of the square engraved panel embodies Zenobia’s fierce, unrelenting spirit. The three-hammered texture bar drops draws inspiration from ancient Palmyrene jewelry, each hand finished by Nepali artisan. Because each piece is individually handcrafted, the collection may contain subtle  irregular edges, uneven surfaces and variations in the colours, adding to the beauty and uniqueness of each piece. No two pairs are exactly alike.
